Physicians Honored as Castle Connolly 2025 Top Doctors

Honored Physicians from Somers Orthopaedics

Dr. Joel S. Buchalter

Dr. Buchalter is a founding partner of Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group. His practice focuses on hip and knee replacement surgery, including the use of robotic and computer-assisted techniques. He serves as Chief of Joint Replacement Surgery at Northern Westchester Hospital and Medical Director at the Orthopaedic & Specialty Surgery Center in Danbury, Connecticut.

 

Dr. Douglas J. Fauser

Dr. Fauser is a founding partner of Somers Orthopaedics and has been practicing for more than 30 years. His focus is on sports medicine and joint replacement surgery. He has served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Co-Director of the Orthopaedic Institute at Putnam Hospital Center.

 

Dr. Scott M. Levin

Dr. Levin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine. He provides care to athletes and individuals with orthopedic conditions and has experience treating sports-related injuries.

 

Dr. Victor Khabie

Dr. Khabie is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Co-Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Northern Westchester Hospital. His areas of focus include shoulder and knee arthroscopic procedures and robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery. Dr. Khabie is also the Medical Director and Orthopedic Surgeon for Pace University Athletics.

 

Dr. Vincent R. Carlesi

Dr. Carlesi is a board-certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty certification in pain management. His practice focuses on the management of chronic pain conditions.

 

Dr. Ezriel Edward Kornel

Dr. Kornel is a board-certified neurosurgeon who has worked with spine and brain conditions. He has experience with minimally invasive spine surgery techniques.
